Evan Ellingson’s big break
One of Evan Ellingson’s biggest films was the 2009 drama, My Sister’s Keeper.
Cameron Diaz starred in the film as a mother with a daughter who suffers from a grave illness.
Her other daughter, played by Abigail Breslin becomes a marrow donor for her older sister until she fights back and refuses to undergo surgeries.
Breslin’s character files for emancipation from her parents which sets off a series of conflicts within the family.
Evan Ellingson portrays the family’s son.
Evan’s rise to fame
Evan broke out as a star in 2007 when he was cast as Jack Bauer’s nephew Josh Bauer in the sixth season of 24.

During the show’s sixth season, he appeared on CSI: Miami as Kyle Harmon, the estranged son of Horatio Cane.

Father gives update
Evan’s father Michael told TMZ that his son was in a sober-living home prior to his death.
His family told the publication that he struggled with drug addiction but was working on his recovery.
