TEDDI Mellencamp fought back tears as she opened up about her battle with stage 4 skin cancer in an emotional new interview.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 43, revealed earlier this year the disease had spread to her brain and lungs, resulting in her undergoing emergency surgery.
Now Teddi has confessed she’s “really scared” while speaking to ABC’s Deborah Roberts.
Teddi shares son Cruz, 10, and daughters Slate, 12, and five-year-old Dove with her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave.
In a heartbreaking admission Teddi told how she’s terrified it’s the last time she’ll be able to compete in an equestrian competition with Dove.
She said: “We have our horse nationals and the second my daughter and I got in I made a goal that I was going to start getting back to training so that I could do it to.”
Tearing up, Teddi continued: “I want to have… now I’m going to get emotional.
“I wanted to have the opportunity to do it with her just in case this is my last chance.”
Teddi also revealed doctors have given her a “50/50” chance of survival.
She urged others to “never take anything for granted”, adding: “Normally I’m used to running seven miles, today I’m barely walking one.”
Last month The U.S Sun revealed how Teddi – the daughter of singer John Mellencamp – and Edwin have put their divorce on hold as he’s “scared of losing her”.
An insider told us: “Teddi has gone through a lot before but this is the most painful ordeal she and the family has had to go through.

“She’s being the strongest woman, well because she’s strong, but also for her kids. She has been their rock even though she’s going through this.
“Edwin has been helping too, he and Teddi put all their hostility aside for now to get through this as a family and do what’s best for the kids.
“There was a moment where he was terrified of losing her. It really put everything into perspective.”
