Emma Stone ‘swears’ she could ‘go on Jeopardy!’ and reveals she applies as a regular contestant ‘every year’

EMMA Stone has revealed she’s on a hell-bent mission to conquer the real Jeopardy! stage, not the celebrity version.

The Oscar-winning actress firmly stated in a new interview that she applies to the beloved game show as a regular contestant every year.

Emma Stone said: 'I swear, I could go on Jeopardy!. I watch it every single night and mark down how many answers I get right'

Emma, 35, recently won a 2024 Golden Globe for her performance in Poor Things, but the mega-star isn’t set on EGOT status.

Instead, she’s apparently desperate to go on the syndicated version of Jeopardy! and compete alongside regular Americans.

“I apply every June,” she sincerely told Variety on Thursday.

“I don’t want to go on Celebrity Jeopardy. I want to earn my stripes.”

She continued, expressing her commitment: “You can only take the test once a year with your email address, and I’ve never gotten on the show.

“I watch it every single night and I mark down how many answers I get right.

I swear, I could go on Jeopardy.”

FANS REACT: ‘MAKE IT HAPPEN!’

Fans rushed to a Reddit forum in shambles over Emma’s vow.

“Clearly, we’re going to need a Celebrity Master’s Tournament one day,” one person wrote.

“She’s great, and from everything I’ve ever read about her, very intelligent. If she ever does decide to take the easy route, I think she’d easily be the most famous person to have done Celebrity Jeopardy,” wrote another.

A third wrote, “Well now that it’s out there…Jeopardy producers will make it happen.”

A fourth wrote, “Imagine logging in to a Jeopardy Zoom audition and there’s Emma Stone in your contestant group.”

Contestants make it on Jeopardy! via the online Anytime Test (which takes 15 minutes and is rumored to require an 80 percent score to qualify).

Once someone passes the Anytime test, they’re invited to a Zoom audition, which simulates a round of the game show.

Then they anxiously await “The Call” within the next 18 months to find out if they’ve made it.

It’s currently unclear if Emma isn’t scoring enough on the test or if producers are giving her the cold shoulder.

Since she’s a giant star, it may look weird to have someone more famous than the contestants on the celebrity spinoff on the nightly show.

DRAMATIC NEW LOOK

In her newest role, Emma plays an “oversexed and volatile” female Frankenstein in a dramatically different retelling of Mary Shelley’s classic horror story.

To get into character, the La La Land star ditched her signature red hair, to instead look practically unrecognizable in long, raven-black hair.

In the thriller, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, Emma plays Bella Baxter who is brought back to life by the brilliant but unorthodox Dr Godwin Baxter, portrayed by Willem Dafoe.

Emma and Yorgos have previously worked together on 2018’s The Favourite, where she starred alongside fellow Oscar-winners Rachel Weisz and Olivia Colman.

The Greek director has an impressive list of films to his name, including The Lobster in 2015 and 2017’s The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

BYE-ALIK

Meanwhile, if Emma does make it on Jeopardy!, she will be playing under host Ken Jennings.

Co-host Mayim Bialik was let go from Jeopardy! last month, leaving former champion Ken as the sole host.

On December 15, the sitcom star announced that she was fired from Jeopardy! personally on Instagram.

Mayim captioned her post: “Jeopardy! announcement.”

“As the Holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy! news,” she began.

“Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!.”

The actress went on: “I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the Jeopardy! family.”

“For all of you who have supported me through this journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff of America’s favorite quiz show, thank you.”

Mayim has since removed “co-host @jeopardy” from her Instagram bio.

She was named co-host with former champion Ken in 2022, after a scandalous host hunt and following Alex Trebek’s tragic death in 2020.

‘ONE HOST’

About an hour later, the official Jeopardy! Instagram page confirmed the news.

“Mayim Bialik has announced she will no longer be hosting the syndicated [or nightly] version of Jeopardy!,” the post started out.

“We have made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season to maintain continuity for our viewers.

They went on to say that Ken, 49, will be the sole host of the show.

“We are truly grateful for all of Mayim’s contributions to Jeopardy!, and we hope to work with her in the future on primetime specials,” the game show wrote.

Jeopardy! is yet to give further details on the abrupt axe, but other reports have come out about what went wrong for the star.

Sources have claimed Mayim’s monthlong hiatus while still under contract was a reason behind her firing, as she hadn’t been on set since last spring.

According to other reports, producers decided they didn’t need to hosts as Ken “improved his hosting skills” while Mayim was away.

Each host reportedly made $4M a year though that figure is expected to increase now for Ken.
