Arsenal have been linked with Flamengo prodigy Matheus Goncalves in recent days.
On Tuesday, The Sun reported that the Gunners are tracking the progress of the 17-year-old Brazilian.
Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola has also spoken about Arsenal and their reported interest in Goncalves.

He said on his YouTube channel that the Gunners are ‘keeping an eye’ on Goncalves.
Apparently, Arsenal have ‘promised’ Flamengo they will make a bid for him in the coming days.
Nicola then claimed that the Gunners want to bring Goncalves to England ‘as soon as possible’.
The youngster will turn 18 this August and is protected by a release clause worth €100million (£88million).
However, The Sun claims that Goncalves could be significantly cheaper. As little as £2.5million, apparently.
As well as Arsenal, the likes of Manchester City, Ajax and Benfica.
‘World-class potential’
Arsenal know the Brazilian market well and have a notable advantage thanks to Edu Gaspar.

The Gunners have struck gold in that market in the past, most notably with Gabriel Martinelli.
Marquinhos also looks like a top talent, with a bright future ahead of him.
And though Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Jesus didn’t join from Brazilian clubs, Edu certainly helped sway things in Arsenal’s favour.
Goncalves is said to be the best young prospect to ever come through Flamengo’s academy, according to former manager Dorival Junior.
In 2021, Football Talent Scout published an in-depth analysis piece about the youngster.
Jacek Kulig likened him to Angel Di Maria and said he had ‘world-class, ’10/10’ potential.
All in all, Goncalves looks like a great talent for Arsenal to try and sign.
Better still, it looks as though the Gunners are eager to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
