Mark, 37, and BC, 36, announced the devastating news on Instagram through their band, Alexander Jean’s, page, on October 5.
“We lost a baby last year,” the video was captioned.
“Just when we thought we were in a good place to tell family and friends, we received the heavy news that our little one wasn’t going to make it.”
They continued: “We’ve both been through hard times in our lives, but this was a different kind of sadness.”
The couple released a song called Rainbow the same day, that reflected on the experience of losing their unborn child.
BC is currently pregnant with their rainbow baby and is expected to give birth to their first child in the coming weeks.
Mark and BC got married in 2016.
Fans and followers left their condolences and well-wishes in the comments.
‘LITTLE HUMAN’
In June, The DWTS alum and his wife announced that they were pregnant.
Mark and BC once again announced the news via their band’s Instagram page.
They captioned the Reel with “Life Lately,” with a guitar strumming in the background.
The video featured clips of them in their car, in the studio, and hanging with their dog, Hendrix.
“Lately we’ve been…making new music, making birthday wishes, went to Disneyland, made more music stuff, turned off our phones and went to the beach, car rides with our best mate, Boba tea, made more music,” the post read.
“Also,” they announced, “we’ve been making…. a tiny human.”

The video ended with BC’s baby bump as Mark stood behind his wife and kissed her on the cheek.
With his other hand, the dancer held his phone up to the mirror to take the video.
Their dog Hendrix was also involved in the announcement as he stood next to them, looking like a proud brother.
They didn’t give fans a due date at that time, but let them know the baby is “coming soon.”
‘SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO’
Rainbow, the band’s third release of the year, is their most gut-wrenching yet.
The song starts off with the lyrics: “Give me some good news. Something to look forward to.”
BC sang that there was nothing she could do to put the life back into the baby that they lost.
Mark played a solemn guitar in the background.
“Life is pretty strange…. It’s funny in a way how quickly it can change,” she sang.
But, BC, who penned the Beyonce hit If I Were A Boy, gave some hope to herself as she said: “A rainbow ain’t far behind.”
And less than a year later, the couple are expecting their rainbow baby.
“But, I’ll be alright, it just takes time, right?” the chorus ended.
The couple shared that the three-minute song is for anyone who has experienced loss.
“We hope it brings whoever listens some kind of peace & reminds you that a rainbow isn’t far behind,” Mark and BC ended their announcement.
