Javi Gracia has reacted to Leeds United’s 2-0 defeat to Fulham in the FA Cup after the game.
Whilst it was likely that the hosts would end up succumbing to a loss to Marco Silva’s high-flying side, it seems as if the Spaniard was still gutted to see his team end up on the losing side.
As Leeds lost 2-0 to Fulham, courtesy of a pair of brilliant strikes from Joao Palhinha and Manor Salomon, Javi Gracia made his feelings clear after the contest.

While it was unlikely that the Whites would go on to win the competition, a win on Tuesday was also a massive opportunity for the club to perhaps enjoy a deep run in the cup.
However, Fulham seemingly had those plans reserved for themselves as they beat Leeds away from home, with Javi Gracia giving his honest verdict on the contest after the match.
“In this moment, I’m really disappointed. In my opinion, we were a little bit unlucky. We created many chances. We were not clinical. We didn’t finish with composure.”

“We had a good balance. They didn’t have many chances. They scored two great goals but we were close all game to scoring one and changing the dynamic. That’s why I’m disappointed”, he said, as quoted by The Athletic’s Phil Hay.
Positive signings
There is no denying that Leeds should have finished a number of chances and given themselves a better chance of beating Fulham to reach the FA Cup quarter-final, as Javi Gracia has said.
However, it is a refreshing sight to see the side actually create chances freely and compete with a team of the London-based outfit’s calibre.
Leeds seem to be on a promising path during the early days under Javi Gracia and perhaps next time, they will do away with a team like Fulham if they play as well as they did.
