Simon Jordan has said that he sees a natural manager in Tottenham Hotspur manager target Vincent Kompany, that he struggles to envisage in the case of John Terry.
Journalist Alasdair Gold had claimed on Wednesday that Spurs’ Head of Coaching Methodology Simon Davies would likely suggest the Belgian’s appointment at the club, due to their past experience of working with each other.
Now, Simon Jordan has compared Vincent Kompany to John Terry and why the Burnley manager linked the Tottenham Hotspur job looks like he was born to manage unlike the latter.
Simon Jordan makes Vincent Kompany & John Terry manager parallel amid Tottenham links
Hailed as a ‘world-beater’ by Johan Boskamp and Ander van der Meyde, the 36-year-old has taken the Championship by storm in his debut season.
Simon Jordan has been seemingly unsurprised to see Tottenham manager target Vincent Kompany thrive, while being sceptical of whether Chelsea coaching consultant John Terry would.

“I would’ve doubted, for whatever reason I rate John Terry and I really did rate him as a player. I would’ve doubted that he would have been a manager. But I don’t think I would have doubted Kompany because there’s just a different feel about the two men. And there’s no disrespect intended to John Terry”, he told talkSPORT.

Jordan continued, “Look, we can look at aspects of people’s character, we can bring in to aspects of people’s career and things that have gone on in John Terry’s private life and things that have gone in John Terry’s private and professional life that would allude to the fact that possibly, he doesn’t make the greatest of leaders when it comes to other things off the field.”
“And I don’t think you can allege that towards Vincent [Kompany]. That’s not me making cheap shots.”
“I just look at them [Terry and Kompany] in isolation, with no skill in the game, I can see why he did and I can see why he didn’t.”
Only John Terry can perhaps disprove Simon Jordan if he decides to become a manager but what one can say is from a Tottenham perspective, Vincent Kompany certainly looks the part.
