The Diablo 4 open beta is still a week away, but fans should know how to preload and download the closed demo right now on PS5, Xbox, and PC by getting an early access code.
Diablo 4 is very exciting and is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of the year. The playable demo only takes place in the prologue and act 1, but it will include all five of the character classes with none of them gender-locked.
If you’re planning to play early access, you can preload the closed beta today.
How to preload the Diablo 4 beta
Early access players can preload the Diablo 4 closed beta right now on PS5, Xbox, and PC, meanwhile everyone else has to wait until March 22nd to download the open demo.
Know that the game is cross-gen for PlayStation and Xbox, which means the demo is playable on PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X/S. PC players get access via battle.net.
Regardless of platform, you will be able to enjoy crossplay multiplayer and couch co-op. Provided you have early access, simply follow the below steps to preload and download the early access closed beta on PS5 and PC:
PS5:
- Open Diablo 4 on the PSN store
- Click the three dots
- Select open beta
- Click Download
PC:
- Open Battle.net
- Select Diablo 4 from All Games
- Click Install

The preload and download file size for the Diablo 4 early access closed beta on PC is 42 GB, but it goes up to 84 GB if you want the high resolution texture pack.
