Destiny 2 Lightfall release date, downtime countdown & pre-order bonuses

The release date and time countdown for when Destiny 2 Lightfall will come out is almost here, and Bungie has shared when servers will be back up online and fans should know the preload size and how to download the expansion right now.

Destiny 2 Lightfall is incredibly anticipated for fans of the Bungie shooter. We were recently treated to season 19 which provided players with Assassin’s Creed armor in a collaboration with Ubisoft.

While season 19 was a decent endeavour, later today fans will all be able to experience Bungie’s new massive expansion.

What time does Destiny 2 Lightfall come out?

The release date and time countdown for when Destiny 2 Lightfall will come out and start is 09:00 PST, 12:00 EDT, and 17:00 GMT on February 28th.

These hours come courtesy of Bungie’s latest TWAB. As of right now, you cannot log into the game at all thanks to downtime and maintenance.

When will Destiny 2 servers be back up and online?

Destiny 2 servers will be back up online at 09:00 PST, 12:00 EDT, and 17:00 GMT which is when the Lightfall expansion comes out.

However, as per Bungie Help, you may be placed in a queue and experience sign-on issues as background maintenance will continue until 10:00 PST, 13:00 EDT, and 18:00 GMT.

Once the servers are back online, you will be able to download update 7.0.0.1 for which the patch notes have been shared.

There’s lots to anticipate with the upcoming expansion, and Sony has partially revealed the soundtrack by sharing two amazing songs.
