Demon Slayer fans worldwide are counting down to the season 3 premiere, but news on the English dub release date remain frustratingly TBA.
The debut of Demon Slayer’s third TV season is only a matter of hours away; however, whilst the vast majority of fans will soon be settling down to enjoy the one-hour special premiere on Crunchyroll, a large proportion of the global community will be waiting for the English dub.
On the one hand, we do know that the anime will be receiving an official English dub and new cast members but unfortunately, information regarding its potential release remains studiously scarce.
Here is everything that we know so far about the Demon Slayer season 3 English dub, including an early prediction on its eventual release date.
Demon Slayer season 3 English dub remains TBA
Unfortunately, whilst the Demon Slayer season 3 Japanese sub is about to premiere around the world on April 9, Crunchyroll has not yet shared an official confirmation of the English dub release date.
The good news is that the platform has confirmed that an English dub will be released at some point on the Spring slate; which shouldn’t necessarily come as a surprise, considering the franchise’s global success.
Typically, Crunchyroll releases English dubs between two and three weeks after the Japanese sub; however, fans should also note that Demon Slayer has historically struggled to keep the delay between Japanese sub and English dub release down to a minimum.
In fact, there was an 11-week delay between the Japanese sub and English dub for the Entertainment District Arc (Season 2) – one of the longest delays in recent dub memory.
Unfortunately, this means that whilst an extremely optimistic prediction would be The Swordsmith Village dub to air in either the final week of April or the first week of May, a more realistic expectation would be for June 2023.
