Starring as frontwoman Daisy, Riley Keough lives up to her family’s musical legacy in one of her biggest roles to date. Sam Claflin also fine-tunes his musical skills starring as troubled singer-songwriter Billy Dunne.
While shooting this series, the cast tapped into a true musician’s lifestyle. Not only were they in vocal training in anticipation of the shoot, but they were jet-setting around the world. Let’s take a look at the filming locations used throughout Daisy Jones And The Six.
Where is Daisy Jones And The Six filmed?
Filming for Daisy Jones And The Six took place in the following locations:
- Los Angeles, California
- Paramount Studios, Hollywood
- New Orleans, Louisiana
- Athens, Greece
- Hydra, Greece
The majority of the show is set in Hollywood, so the cast and crew utilized what LA had to offer them for their locations. They filmed at legendary LA venues such as the Whiskey and the Viper Room, the latter being transformed into what it once was in the 1970s, a bar called Filthy McNasty’s.
Some parts will transport the story across continents, as sections were filmed in Greece.
Filming was delayed for over a year
Daisy Jones And The Six has been in the works for years. Principal photography was meant to start in early 2020, however, the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic put a stop to plans. Nearly a year and a half later, the filming schedule resumed. The delay in starting the shoot gave the cast plenty of time to fine-tune their musical skills. Sam Claflin was particularly grateful for the delay, given that he had never picked up a guitar before being cast as The Six frontman Billy Dunne.

Filming kicked off on September 27, 2021. The cast and crew started out at Paramount Studios before taking the filming across the States and around the world.
The filming concluded in May 2022. The main cast finished the shoot in New Orleans, whereas Riley Keough’s shooting concluded in Greece in June.
Daisy Jones And The Six had their Soldier Field gig in New Orleans
Daisy Jones And The Six revolves around one of the band’s most significant performances, at Soldier Field in Chicago. Musical TV series and films often have the hard task of making their live performances feel real. The likes of A Star Is Born opted for filming at actual music festivals to emphasize the movie’s authenticity.
Filming did not take place at Chicago’s Soldier Field. Instead, the Daisy Jones production design team revamped New Orleans’ Tad Gormley Stadium to look just like Soldier Field. With a 26,500-seat capacity, this stadium definitely gives the Soldier Field scenes an impressive feel.
