Creepy ‘smiley’ behavior of ‘frightening’ suspect in brutal double killing of American Idol exec & her husband revealed

THE suspect accused of killing American Idol executive Robin Kaye and her husband had previously showed signs of creepy behavior in his local area, neighbors have claimed.

Some even said Raymond Boodarian, 22, was like a zombie.

Kaye and her husband Thomas Deluca, both 70, were found dead in their plush $5 million Los Angeles home on Monday.

Both were found with gunshot wounds in their head and their deaths are being probed as a homicide.

Sole suspect Boodarian lived around 13 minutes from the music supervisor’s home in Encino and his rap sheet revealed he had been arrested previously.

Locals told The New York Post he could be creepy.

“He would sit in front of my friend’s house just staring and smiling,” one person said.

“He did that on multiple occasions, sometimes in his own house, just looking out the window and smiling.”

Others claimed he would prowl the streets for several hours.

Boodarian had previously been charged with battery, as reported by the ABC affiliate KABC-TV.

In November 2023, he was charged over allegations he made threats to his stepfather.

Boodarian has also previously been accused of battery toward his mom and sister.

The charges were dismissed as a judge ruled him to be mentally incompetent.

Cops believe Kaye and Deluca were killed on July 10 before their bodies were found days later.

Boodarian allegedly scaled a fence and broke into the property via a sliding door that was unlocked.

He was inside the property before Kaye and Deluca returned 30 minutes later.

Kaye and Deluca were shot several times and Boodarian fled the scene on foot.

Cops smashed a window to get into the home and they found blood spatters on the porch.

Cops were dispatched to the area to probe a string of burglary calls on July 9, 10, and 11, as reported by the CBS affiliate KCAL-TV.

An incident was reported on July 10, prompting officers to be dispatched at around 4pm.

Cops couldn’t get into the home because the gate was closed.

Police flew a helicopter over the home but didn’t see anything suspicious.

Cops left the area shortly after 4:17pm.

‘RANDOM’ ATTACK

Guy Golan, a Los Angeles Police Department lieutenant, said the shootings appear to be random.

“As scary as it sounds, it does appear to be a random attack,” he told KCAL.

Tributes were paid to Kaye, a veteran American Idol supervisor, after she was named as one of the victims.

Didi Benami, an ex-contestant, said she was left heartbroken.

Benami finished in tenth place on the ninth season of American Idol.

“Still in disbelief and trying to make sense of it all,” she wrote on social media.

“Some souls leave a light behind even after they’re gone. Robin, you are so loved. Always will be.

“Honoring the light, kindness, and joy you brought into this world. May your memory—and the love you gave—never be forgotten.”
