ACTRESS Trina McGee recently announced her pregnancy at 54, and she’s not the only celeb to embrace motherhood in her 50s.
Alongside Trina, plenty of very famous faces have had babies later in life.
Boy Meets World star Trina announced that she was expecting her fourth child on Instagram this week.
The star is already mom to Ramia, 31, Langston, 29, whom she shares with her ex-husband Courtland Davis, and Ezra, 25, from a previous relationship.
25 years after welcoming her last child, the star revealed that she and hew new husband, Marcello Thedford, were expecting a new bundle of joy.
“At the tender age of 54, I have found myself pregnant.
“Please bless us with your prayers for a safe delivery. Thank you,” she shared with her fans.
JANET JACKSON – 51
Pop music sensation Janet Jackson, now 58, also welcomed a child in her fifth decade.
Michael Jackson’s sister had a baby in her third marriage, to businessman Wissam Al Mana.
The couple tied the knot in 2012, and welcomed a son, Eissa, in January 2017.
Soon after Eissa’s birth, however, Janet and Wissam went their separate ways.
“They separated shortly after the baby was born. The cultural differences between her and Wissam became even more obvious [after Eissa arrived]. They come from very different worlds,” a source divulged to People at the time.
The celebrity insider added, “Janet is all about the baby and is okay. They will raise their boy together.”
BRIGITTE NIELSEN – 54
Film star Brigitte – who once had relationships with both Arnold Schwarzenegger and his then-rival Sylvester Stallone – gave birth to her fifth child at 54.
Brigitte’s baby, Frida, was born on June 22, 2018.
Frida is Brigitte’s first girl, and has four much older brothers.

Boy Meets World star Trina McGee, 54, divulged how she got pregnant at 54 by ‘reversing’ the menopause.
Trina has three grown-up sons, but revealed that she and her husband Marcello Thedford had been trying for a baby of their own.
The star shared that she started her menopause a year ago, but didn’t let it stop their dreams of growing their family.
Trina was reluctant to try IVF, so settled on a more holistic approach to try to get pregnant despite her menopause.
The couple traveled to Belize, and worked with Shamans among the indigenous Garifuna people.
There, Trina claimed that they were taught about herbs that could reverse the menopause.
Alongside the medicinal herbs, Trina opened up about her general physical and mental health being vital for her pregnancy.
“The number one thing for me is to not partake in any stress and stay away from negativity as much as I can, and that pertains to what I put on TV… what I look at on my phone, you know, there’s so much drama and violence and negativity out there as soon as you turn on the screen,” she said.
Brigitte is also mom to Raoul Meyer Jr, 29, Douglas Meyer, 31, Killian Gastineau, 34, and Julian Winding, 40.
Frida is Brigitte’s first child with Mattia Dessì, who is the actress’ fifth husband.
“We are overjoyed to welcome our beautiful daughter into our lives. It’s been a long road, and so worth it. We’ve never been more in love,” Brigitte gushed to People after Frida’s birth.
SOPHIE B HAWKINS – 50
New York native Sophie B Hawkins welcomed her second child 7 years after her first.
Unlike some other moms, Sophie opted to face motherhood on her own.
The musician welcomed her son, Dashiell, in 2008, and decided that the young boy needed a bigger family.
“I found Dashiell really needs a sibling. My son has one parent who’s 50. I want him to have a family of young people too!” she told People.
So, aged 50, Sophie was implanted with her own fertlized embryo, and soon welcomed daughter Esther.
Esther had technically been conceived 20 years prior to her birth, and was frozen until Sophie was ready for baby number 2.
NAOMI CAMPBELL – 51
Supermodel Naomi became a first-time mom in her 50s, and welcomed a second baby just a couple of years later.
The famous beauty has remained tight-lipped about her children, but confirmed that they weren’t adopted.
Naomi first announced the birth of her daughter in May 2021, when Naomi was 51.
“I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her. But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done,” she told Vogue after the baby’s birth.
In June 2023, Naomi revealed that she’d expanded her family even further, welcoming a son to join her little girl.
DIANE KEATON – 50
Much like Sophie and Naomi, Oscar-winning star Diane opted to become a solo parent to her kids.
The actress decided on adoption, and welcomed two children into her life.
Diane adopted her first child, daughter Dexter, in 1996.
She then gave Dexter a brother, Duke, in 2001.
Diane has been open about her choice to become an older mother, and her confidence in doing so without a partner.
“Motherhood has completely changed me. It’s just about like the most completely humbling experience that I’ve ever had,” she told Film Monthly in 2006.
HODA KOTB – 52
Hoda became a first-time mom at 52, and – like Diane – chose adoption for her family.
The Today Show star adopted her children while in a relationship with financier Joel Schiffman.
The duo began dating in 2013, and split in 2022 less than 2 years after getting engaged.
The duo co-parents their two children, who were both adopted as baby girls.
Haley Joy was first to join the family in 2017, followed by Hope Catherine in 2019, with both girls sharing Hoda’s last name.
