CARRIE Underwood had fans curious about her look after recently attending the Songwriters Hall Of Fame 2024 Induction & Awards Gala.
The country star attended the event, which took place at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City, in a standout silver ensemble.
Carrie, 41, was photographed on the red carpet, performing onstage, and taking the podium alongside singer Keith Urban, 56.
The Season 4 American Idol winner opted for a textured, shiny silver top that featured multiple ridges and a high-low skirt with folded fabric.
She had her signature blonde hair styled in a middle part in loose waves and had her makeup glamorously done up for the night.
To commemorate the occasion, Carrie shared a carousel of photos on Instagram, including multiple shots of her smiling with other attendees.
Some followers, however, thought her face looked different from the past and asked if the singer had had any procedures done recently.
“Carrie just went to far . She is unrecognizable. Pretty but something seems odd,” one person commented.
“She has hair ruined everything that was beautiful about her.
She’s just a mess…,” a second slammed.
“She’s a great singer but her outfit is hideous! And stop with the plastic surgery,” wrote a third.
“She looks very different,” a fourth thought.
Others defended Carrie, writing, “Who cares if she’s had work done? She looks beautiful. She can do whatever she wants to herself. People are so judgmental and annoying.”

This was not the first time critics slammed Carrie for looking different from her 2005 American Idol days, however.
Last month, some fans made similar comments after noticing a strange detail in one of her posts.
Carrie posed with rapper Ludacris after she performed a residency show in Las Vegas at the Resorts World.
The singer’s look consisted of a Guns N’ Roses T-shirt that she paired with a yellow baseball cap.
She also had on a face of heavy makeup once more, which accentuated her prominent cheekbones and clear complexion.
