Jimin released Face on March 24, 2023, and the album went on to rank number one on the South Korean Hanteo chart with above 1,349,771 unit sales. In Japan, the album also made it to number one with 230,134 units of sales in the debut week.

Grammy-nominated group BTS member Jimin made Billboard 200 history as the K-pop soloist’s debut solo album Face charted at number 2 making him the top Korean soloist. As per official data, the album sold over 164,000 units in the U.S. during the first week of its debut.
Jimin’s lead single Set Me Free Pt. 2 from Face also went to chart at number 30 on Billboard Hot 100 making him the first BTS member to have a song in the top 40 which is not a collaborative effort.
