Pundit Michael Dawson has heaped praise on to Cristian Romero for his involvement in Son Heung-min’s goal for Tottenham Hotspur as they got a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
The £165,000-a-week defender slipped in a pass for Pedro Porro calmly from the back, which kickstarted the move and eventually led to the South Korean international’s composed finish.
Considering Tottenham defender Cristian Romero has been criticised for how rash he has been this season, especially after his sending off against AC Milan, pundit Michael Dawson now decided to praise him against Nottingham Forest.
Pundit Michael Dawson raves about Cristian Romero as Tottenham beat Nottingham Forest
With many even questioning whether the World Cup winner was as comfortable on the ball as he has been recognized for in the past, this was a timely reminder that he remains quality off-the-ball as well.
As Tottenham scored their third goal of the evening in their 3-1 win against Nottingham Forest, pundit Michael Dawson described how Cristian Romero was key as Son Heung-min put the ball into the back of the net.

“It’s played out and [Cristian] Romero does brilliant for the goal. He plays a one-two with [Pedro] Porro, who plays a ball down the channel to Richarlison. And Richarlison sees Son [Heung-min] coming in from the left. He plays this ball, it’s great defending from Joe Worrall.”

“He clears it but he clears it straight back to Richarlison and Richarlison then chops back in, picks a pass out. The first touch from Son on his knee, takes it on to his left foot and he just shoots across, and it goes through Serge Aurier’s legs into the bottom corner”, he said on Sky Sports Premier League.
Fair play to Cristian Romero for his subtle but key role in the goal for Tottenham against Nottingham Forest, as pointed out by pundit Michael Dawson.
