The unfortunate news of music legend Bobby Caldwell’s death is circulating, as his wife takes to Twitter to share a deeply touching sentiment about her late husband.

Bobby and his wife Mary had been married since 2004. It seems only fitting it would be his wife to break the news of his passing.
The 71-year-old singer was best known for his lengthy career full of music hits. From his notorious 1978 single “What You Won’t Do For Love”, to the 1991 hit “Stay With Me”, Bobby Caldwell’s music has been appreciated for decades. His 1978 single was famously sampled by the legendary rapper Tupac Shakur in his 1998 hit single “Do For Love”.

His wife Mary took to his official Twitter account to share the news with his fans:
In the statement, she announces that Bobby “passed away here at home”. She also states she held him in her arms as he “left us”. After thanking his followers for their many prayers over the years, Mary continues to state Bobby had been “FLOXED”.
“FLOXED” refers to the term “Floxing” which is used to describe what happens when the body sustains mitochondrial damage and oxidative stress after taking the antibiotic fluoroquinolone.
According to TMZ, Bobby had been suffering for the past 5 years with painful episodes of neuropathy, and a torn ankle tendon.
