BILLY Ray Cyrus subpoenaed Firerose’s medical records around her double mastectomy in the exes contentious divorce battle.
According to documents exclusively revealed by The U.S. Sun, Billy Ray, 62, is asking for his soon-to-be ex wife’s medical records from her Tennessee medical center where she was presumably receiving treatment.
In the subpoena to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the Achy Breaky Heart singer requested his ex’s “complete file, including, but not limited to any and all medical records for Ms. Hodges that pertain to the BRCA1 gene; gene appointment notes; and scheduled operations and surgeries.”
In a previous court papers by Firerose, 37, she claimed that Billy Ray filed for divorce the day she was to begin double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery after doctors diagnosed her as a carrier of the BRCA1 gene mutation.
According to the filing, her first surgery was scheduled for May 24.
On May 23, Billy Ray filed for divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct and also requested an annulment on the grounds of fraud.
Firerose’s attorney said Billy Ray had become hostile with her leading up to his filing for divorce, and as she was preparing for her first surgery.
“When Wife would attempt to voice certain concerns, Husband would often call her a ‘selfish f****** b****’ and continually alleged that she was using him.
“With Wife’s major surgery date looming, she was reasonably afraid to leave or seek any type of help because she feared that Husband would interfere with her surgery or her lengthy recovery at home.”
Firerose alleged that Billy Ray was paying the bills for her health insurance.
The document read, “Wife relied on Husband’s promises to pay for her surgery, and Husband has now repudiated that promise.
“On the day Wife was set to get her surgery, she was instead searching for a place to live and under a significant amount of emotional distress.”
Billy Ray and Firerose were married just seven months before he pulled the plug.
The singers tied the knot in October 2023 after he finalized his divorce from Tish Cyrus in 2022.
