Whilst the series has yet to be renewed for season 2, the availability of source material and the popularity of the anime is giving fans hope that Isagi’s journey will continue for years to come.

Blue Lock episode 22 release date, time and synopsis

Blue Lock season 1 episode 22 will premiere first for domestic audiences on Sunday, March 12; with the new episode releasing on Saturday, March 11 for the vast majority of fans outside Japan.

Fans of the hit football anime series can watch the new Blue Lock episode via Crunchyroll from the following times:

  • Eastern Time – 2 PM
  • British Time – 7 PM
  • European Time – 8 PM
  • India Time – 12:30 AM
  • Philippine Time – 3 AM
  • Australia Eastern Daylight Time – 6 AM

New episodes from the Blue Lock English dub follow the dub at 1:15 PM PT/4:15 PM ET/9:15 PM GMT.

Episode 22 is set to be titled ‘Voice’ with the following synopsis being shared online:

“At last, the overwhelmingly talented “Kaibutsu” [Monster] have been found. Briefly, Bachira is happy to have met them, but before long he realizes that he is the only one left behind in the battle between Isagi and Rin. Meanwhile, the match enters its final phase, with a fierce back-and-forth battle centered around a joker called Barou. Where will Bachira, who is awakening under extreme conditions and facing his own “ego”, end up…?”

The new episode is expected to adapt chapters 81 ‘Last Action’, 82 ‘I Don’t Need You’, 83 ‘Voice’, and 84 ‘Initial Impulse’ of the original manga series.

New manga volume prepares for domestic release

The original Blue Lock manga series has released 22 complete Tankobon volumes in Japan, with volume 23 set to be released later this week on March 16.

The new volume is expected to cover chapters 186 – 194:

  • Chapter 195 – God’s Trials
  • Chapter 196 – Fantasia
  • Chapter 197 – Protagonist
  • Chapter 198 – Zero Points
  • Chapter 199 – What Do You See
  • Chapter 200 – I Don’t Need Another
  • Chapter 201 – Without Anyone Knowing
  • Chapter 202 – Heart of Sword
  • Chapter 203 – Overheat

The new volume will also be released alongside the second issue of the ‘Episode Nagi’ spin-off manga, which focuses on Nagi and Reo.

The next volume of the Blue Lock manga to release in English will be issue 18, set to release on March 21, 2023 – available via Kodansha, Amazon Kindle, Google Play, and Barnes & Noble’s Nook.
