James Tarkowski has warned Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur that Goodison Park is now a ‘difficult’ place to visit ahead of their clash against Everton after the international break.
There was a contrast of emotions, for both Everton and Tottenham on Saturday, despite both sides picking up a point each from their respective Premier League matches.
Whilst Sean Dyche’s men scored a late equaliser to secure a much-needed point against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Spurs let a 3-1 lead slip, including James Ward-Prowse scoring a stoppage-time penalty, as they drew 3-3 at bottom-of-the-table Southampton.

Tottenham’s late capitulation resulted in Conte losing his head in his press conference and calling out everyone possible at Hotspur Way – it’s fair to say that it gained quite the reaction from pundits and fans.
It wasn’t so long ago that Everton were on the floor trying to pick themselves up, well, heading into the international break and upon their return, Spurs will be feeling the same.
And whilst one relegation-threatened side caused them issues, another is probably going to cause them more problems, which was alluded to by Tarkowski, as he told Sky Sports Premier League (18/03/23).
“We only look as far as the next game,” said Tarkowski. “The next game is Spurs, at home. At our place, right now, it’s a difficult place to come.

TARKOWSKI’S EXPERIENCE
The 30-year-old joined Everton in the summer on a free transfer from Burnley and the £100k-a-week star (Spotrac) is going to be very desperate to avoid back-to-back relegations.
When you have Harry Kane on the pitch, then you have every chance of eating the opposition alive, that’s exactly what’s going to face Everton and especially Tarkwoski in a few weeks.
But, if the Toffees want to survive, they have to win their home games and pounce on the issues that are now seemingly facing Tottenham.
