Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino could soon be returning to Tottenham as Daniel Levy continues his hunt to replace Antonio Conte.

Spurs fans could be heard chanting the Argentine’s name at Goodison Park on Monday as they made their feelings clear to those in the boardroom.

The Athletic believe Pochettino is open to managing Tottenham once again, with The Times adding that Spurs are considering a reunion with the South American.

Now, a photo from April has resurfaced which may prove that the 51-year-old is already doing his homework.

What’s the story?

Well, Pochettino and his No.2 – Jesus Perez – became fan favourites during their five years in N17.

Now, Perez has got Tottenham fans talking on Twitter after posting a photo of his laptop screen, with some eagled eyed supporters spotting one very interesting tab after nosily zooming in.

As you can see above after zooming into the Spaniard’s tabs on the left, he is reading an article from Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail titled: Why on EARTH would any manager join Spurs?

Clearly, Perez and Pochettino are doing their research about a potential return to Tottenham.

The pair may have been constructing a list of pros and cons about coming back to north London, or they could simply be reading to find out why things fell apart for Conte under Levy to avoid doing similar.

Whatever the reason, it is certainly interesting to see Perez actively reading into current events at Tottenham amid talk of him and Pochettino returning.

Pochettino wanting Tottenham return now reinforced

Of course, every rumour in football should be taken with a pinch of salt.

However, the fact Perez was researching current events at Tottenham does somewhat reinforce the rumour that Pochettino is open to coming back to Spurs.

If he wasn’t, then why would his assistant be doing homework on life at Hotspur Way?

It is certainly an interesting development, so make sure to keep an eye on the situation.
