Arsenal have been linked with Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan in recent days.
According to SPORT, the Gunners want to sign him on a free transfer in the summer transfer window.
As well as Arsenal, the likes of Barcelona are reportedly eyeing Gundogan too.

The Germany international has been a key player for City since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2016.
He has won a multitude of trophies at the Etihad Stadium, including four Premier League titles.
Gundogan is also nearing 300 competitive appearances for the club, testament to his quality and longevity.
However, Gundogan’s contract expires at the end of the season and it looks as though he’ll be leaving City.
With that in mind, Arsenal would be a good club to join, even as a short to mid-term options.
The Gunners could certainly do with bolstering their attacking ranks further in the summer.
Arsenal will likely also want younger players at the start or peak of their careers.

But despite Gundogan being 32, he’s still top of his game and looks like he has plenty of years at the highest level.
‘Great qualities’
Not only that, but Mikel Arteta knows him well, having worked with him at City.
The Spaniard has routinely sung Gundogan’s praises.

In February 2021, he said, as per football.london: “Well I think now he’s playing a higher role in the team.
“He’s always had the ability to arrive in the box and has great timing and great qualities to finish the actions.
“Before he played a deeper role and he had the license to do that.
“He’s a tremendous player and he’s doing really, really well this season.”
Gundogan fits the bill for Arsenal both on the pitch and in the dressing room.
