Craig Burley says Brendan Rodgers is now ‘under pressure’ at relegation-threatened Leicester City despite previously being linked to replace Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.
The former Scotland midfielder pointed out that it’s ‘amazing’ how things can turn for a manager with Brendan Rodgers now trying to keep the Foxes in the Premier League.
The same could be said for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta because their turnaround has been remarkable.

Only 12 months ago, the Gunners were trying to claw over the Champions League line, but they got hit by several blows which resulted in them missing out on that all-important fourth spot to Tottenham.
Fast forward to the present and Arsenal are sitting at the top of the Premier League table and they are 20 points ahead of Antonio Conte’s men.
Craig Burley spoke about the pressure someone like Brendan Rodgers is under and how it could have been different for the Northern Irishman, as he told ESPN.
“Brendan Rodgers has proven himself to be a more than decent coach,” said Burley. “Wesley Fofana, Chilwell, Kasper Schmeichel and there are more players that they have lost.

“Their recruitment was non-existent in the summer. That being said, I would then expect them, at worse, to be mid-table – I do agree, he is under pressure.
“It’s amazing. 18 months ago, people were talking about him replacing Arteta if he got sacked when Arteta was struggling. Now, look where Brendan Rodgers is.”

FINAL DAY DRAMA
Both Arsenal and Leicester have big priorities to deal with on either side of the Premier League table and they will want to avoid any final-day drama.
As things stand, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Premier League title race and the battle to survive the drop goes to the final day of the season.
Many are confident that the fight for relegation will go to the final day, it’s just a case of which teams are going to be involved in that heart-stopping and stomach-turning afternoon of action.
