Pundit Tony Cottee has criticised the performances of West Ham United midfielder Tomas Soucek as ‘all over the place’.
The Hammers were embarrassed on Wednesday night as they were absolutely thrashed by Newcastle United.
David Moyes really needed another positive result after beating Southampton 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
This proved to be a terrible night though and one which pushes Moyes ever closer to the sack.
West Ham are in real danger of going down to the Championship and the pressure is piling on the Scot.

Tony Cottee criticises Tomas Soucek
A number of West Ham players just aren’t playing to their best ability right now.
Midfielder Tomas Soucek is a great example and, in truth, it’s been a while since he was at his best.
The Czech midfielder made a huge impact after arriving from Slavia Prague back in 2020.

West Ham couldn’t wait to turn his loan move permanent and Soucek was a huge goal threat, bagging 10 goals in his first full West Ham season.
Soucek struggled to replicate that form last season and has only scored one Premier League goal this term whilst turning in disappointing midfield displays.
West Ham hero Tony Cottee has now criticised Soucek whilst speaking to TalkSPORT this morning (06/04, 09:15).
Cottee named Soucek as one of three players who just haven’t been good enough of late, but feels the midfielder has been ‘all over the place’ for 18 months now, leaving the former striker baffled.
“The thing is that they are players that perhaps aren’t really good enough for West Ham,” said Cottee. “The right back has really struggled, Kehrer, even Emerson I don’t think has been brilliant. Soucek… I don’t know what’s happened to Soucek but he’s just been, for the last 18 months, he’s been all over the place,” he added.
It’s not even a year since Soucek was being linked with a shock move to Tottenham Hotspur with Antonio Conte believed to be a big fan.
Yet with Conte gone and Soucek struggling for form, Tottenham surely aren’t interested now – and the Czech giant may well be flogged by West Ham this summer having failed to keep his his high standards.
