Journalist Chris Wheatley has given an insight into the contract situations of Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and William Saliba.
The pair’s current deals expire in 2024, and while there have been murmurs that they will commit their long-term futures at Mikel Arteta’s side, there has been no official confirmation from the club.
However, on the ‘Chris Wheatley Show’ on the National World YouTube channel, the journalist has dropped an update about the contract situations of Bukayo Saka and William Saliba at Arsenal.

The England international has been exceptional this season, with many regarding him as the most in-form right winger in the world, while the French centre-back has been hailed by many as the best defender in the Premier League.
As Saka and Saliba have led their side’s title charge this campaign, as Chris Wheatley has given an update on their contract situations at Arsenal.

“I think you put it in good words there, it seems sealed and it is all but sealed. Bukayo Saka is set to put pen to paper on that new long-term deal very shortly. It’s all agreed on Saka’s side, it’s all agreed on Arsenal’s side. It’s just a matter of time before it is confirmed.
“Bukayo Saka is going to become Arsenal’s highest paid player. Saliba, we’re expecting him to sign a new long-term deal very soon. Again, it’s a matter of time before that is completed. Saliba wants to stay at the club so there’s no real surprise that he’s going to put pen to paper. He’s someone Mikel Arteta really values.”
