JENNIFER Aniston has started renovating her Montecito mansion that she purchased from Oprah Winfrey in 2022.
The actress is demolishing the backyard to completely remodel the home.
Jennifer, 55, purchased the home for $14.8million and is now spending more money to fix it up.
She will be able to soak up the sun soon as she is installing a pool.
The garden is completely torn out to make way for the new inground pool.
Aerial photos show that staircase covered in greenery, in the front of the mansion, that Oprah had installed is now ripped up.
The backyard is completely dirt, aside from the trees surrounding the property.
A crane sits in the backyard, next to the pool.
Jennifer’s porch and house also seem to be intact.
It is not clear if she will be remodeling any portion of the mansion.
MORE ON THE HOME
The $15 million mansion is in the same neighborhood as A-list stars Ellen DeGeneres, Ariana Grande, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Oprah bought the house in 2021 from New York hedge fund manager Fred Shuman and his wife Stephanie for $10.5 million.
Jennifer then paid $5 million more, just one year later.
One month prior to Jennifer purchasing the home, she sold the other half of the estate, which is comprised of two cottages, to her personal trainer and property manager, Bob Greene, for $2.3 million.
It was built in 1998 as a Tuscan-style farmhouse and has beautiful views of the coastlines and mountains.
The mansion has been renovated many times over the years.
It has four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and sits on 1.03 acres.
The driveway is covered by trees for privacy.
Oprah still owns a property on the lot, a 66-acre home that she bought in 2012 for $30 million.
JENN’S OTHER HOME
While the remodel is going on, Jennifer can choose to stay in her other home in California.
Jennifer moved into the Bel Air home in 2011 and married her now ex-husband, Justin Theroux, there in 2015.
She gave a glimpse inside her home in a 2018 article for Architectural Digest.
The house has floor-to-ceiling glass windows as well as a wicker hanging chair, adorned with faux fur and comfortable cushions with plenty of greenery in the background.
Her living room is filled with a coffee table and a grey couch.
Charcoal seems to be the main color of the house, as it was seen throughout.
Her kitchen has an island in the middle.
The outside features a huge balcony.
The rest of the house features a marble tub and a walk-in closet.
