“Liza is given an abandoned cat, Yozora, as a pet. Yozora is so cute that she spoils him with all her strength, so she is not only unable to do her work, but is in a critical situation where she cannot even leave her room. How do earthlings resist this cascading attack of kawaii? We decided to ask Mukai and her neighbor Komachi, who have cats.”

A quick recap of Too Cute Crisis episode 1
Too Cute Crisis episode 1 opened with a fleet of alien ships heading to Earth, with their research survey team leader Liza Luna tasked with exploring the planet for any known culture.
Unfortunately, Liza is immediately disgusted by our planet and sets out to find a reason why Earth should be destroyed by her fleet; but she decides to go sightseeing first. Assuming that she would be able to taste some food at a local café in Japan, Liza accidentally enters a cat café and is instantly overwhelmed by the adorable kittens running around the place.
One of the workers at the cat café, a boy called Seiji Mukai, tries to explain that Liza’s uncomfortable aura will end up scaring the cats; but he is more concerned that she is insane, until she brings out her alien communications device.
Liza then makes the decision to refuse to tell her alien superiors about Earth for fear that they will take her away from the cats; an issue only compounded when she finds out about dogs.
After meeting several adorable puppies, Liza is once again overwhelmed until she finds a black cat left in a cardboard box on the side of the road. Enraged, she blows a hole in the roof of its abusive former owners and decides that she will adopt the cat herself – after some minor encouragement from Mukai and Kasumi.
However, the opening episode ends with her alien superiors hearing the cat’s meow through their communications…and decide to investigate.
