Tottenham Hotspur v Nottingham Forest - Premier League

Michael Owen described Harry Kane’s headed goal for Tottenham Hotspur against Nottingham Forest as ‘absolutely beautiful’.

The 29-year-old scored a brace during Tottenham’s 3-1 win over the relegation-threatened side and Owen praised Kane for his header and his well-taken penalty.

Where would Tottenham be without Kane? Those two goals were number 19 and 20 for the Premier League season for the Englishman.

This is supposedly for a team that doesn’t create many chances or one that is too defensive-minded under Antonio Conte.

Either way, without Kane, Spurs would be in the mud and it’s probably a prospect that they will have to face next season if they lose their star striker in the summer.

But, before anything can happen, Spurs fans are still enjoying the magic he is displaying, which was touched upon by Owen, as he told Premier League Productions (11/03/23 at 3:50 pm).

“It’s a beautiful header, isn’t it?! said Owen. “Absolutely beautiful. He gets up early. What he has on it as well, is a load of spin.

“Look at the ball spinning like that, you almost get, like a kick off your head there and extra power when the ball spins like that. What a lovely header that was.

On his penalty: “He always changes it up, doesn’t he?! He can go either corner. Against Forest, he went down the middle, but not without any power, not dinked it either, it was just in between.”

KANE’S LAST SEASON AT SPURS?

Many within Tottenham will be hoping that’s not the case because it’s another trophyless campaign for the team.

A lot of it depends on who will be in charge next season and whether there will be Champions League football.

Many fear that without that top-four finish, then Kane is a goner, but saying that, it will also be interesting to see how the player reacts if one of the trophy-winning teams puts money on the table for him.
