Ally McCoist has stated that he is ‘unsure’ about Daniel Levy’s possible call to re-appoint Ryan Mason as Tottenham Hotspur manager until the end of the season.
Days after Antonio Conte’s rant, his words are still being echoed at Hotspur Way, across the Premier League and the globe where players are out on international duty.
To nobody’s surprise, there is talk that Daniel Levy could make a call to sack Antonio Conte, with the possibility that Ryan Mason comes in until the end of the season – it has been suggested that Spurs are expected to ‘agree’ Conte’s exit, with Mason likely to replace him.

The 31-year-old, who has worked as part of Conte’s backroom staff at Spurs, has been here before when Levy drafted him in when he sacked Jose Mourinho.
Yet, once again, they are about to possibly sack another trophy-laden coach and replace him with someone who is five years younger than Hugo Lloris.
As former Scotland striker Ally McCoist touched upon it, ‘the whole thing is a mess’, as he told talkSPORT.
“I like listening to Ryan Mason,” said McCoist. “I think he is a really good lad. I think, in terms of getting on with the squad, they wouldn’t mind it.

“But I am not sure, at this stage of the season, with the importance of fourth place, then I am not sure he is the right man for the job.
“Then, I am not sure Conte is the right man for the job after that, so are they better getting rid of him and getting in somebody the players will have respect for? The whole thing is a mess.”

WITH OR WITHOUT CONTE
This situation is different to Mourinho’s because, with the now-Roma coach, there wasn’t talk of if he had lost the dressing room.
That’s what has been thrown at Conte, because of how outspoken he was after his side’s 3-3 draw at Southampton.
So, from that perspective, do Spurs get rid because the camp will be happier without Conte? Because they have to make that call based on if there is more chance of getting fourth with or without the Italian.
