Paul Merson has reacted to the last-gasp screamer from Reiss Nelson that meant Arsenal beat Bournemouth 3-2 on Saturday.
The Gunners legend was extremely complimentary of the £38,000-a-week man for Ben White’s goal as well, describing his assist for Ben White’s equaliser as ‘lovely.’
As Reiss Nelson ensured against Bournemouth that Arsenal maintain their 5-point lead at the top of the table over Manchester City, Paul Merson was in awe of the strike.

“Everything about it, it’s the last kick of the game, it comes out, he’s got all the time in the world. I said, ‘hey, he’s got a free shot here and he composes himself enough and he half-volleyed it [into the] far corner, it’s an absolute brilliant goal.”
Reiss Nelson deserves all the credit in the world
After a loan spell at Hoffenheim, a string of injury problems and a lack of game time, the Hale End talent has had a rough time of things during his career.
