Leeds and West Ham target Viktor Gyokeres has now been recognised for his achievements amid interest from the Premier League.
What’s the story?
Well – according to The Sun – West Ham are keen to sign the Sweden international in a £20m deal, while 90min believe Leeds are also interested.
Now, both the Hammers and the Whites will probably be even more determined to sign Gyokeres, as he finds himself up for the EFL Championship Player of the Year award.
The Coventry No.17 has been prolific this season, scoring 18 goals in 41 Championship appearances while also providing nine assists.

Gyokeres has consequently become one of the most wanted forwards outside of the Premier League, with 90min adding that Crystal Palace and Everton are also interested.
Chuba Akpom and Josh Brownhill have also been nominated for the EFL Championship Player of the Year award after shining at Middlesbrough and Burnley respectively.
West Ham & Leeds should both rethink Gyokeres interest
In our view, David Moyes and Javi Gracia should both stop and think before splashing £20m on Gyokeres.
That isn’t to say we don’t think the Swede is worth it – his efforts in England’s second tier this term would certainly justify such a bid.
It is more to do with the fact that both West Ham and Leeds have only recently spent large amounts on Gianluca Scamacca and Georginio Rutter respectively, but have failed to get them firing.

The £35.5m deal for Scamacca, and the £35.5m signing of Rutter, have not worked out as of yet, although those are significant investments who must be persisted with.
Signing Gyokeres would potentially worsen the issue, and make both forwards more stressed about their underwhelming starts to life in England.
Nevertheless, be sure to keep an eye on the situation, as the Swede seems destined for the Premier League.
