18-year-old TikTok star Kara Santorelli has died in a car accident. Fans were shocked by her sudden demise.
Kara died on March 17 but it was until March 27 that people on TikTok and other social media platforms found out about her death.
Her comment sections are filled with messages from her followers as they mourn her sudden loss.
Who was Kara Santorelli?
Kara was 18 years old and a social media influencer who had over 45k followers on TikTok.
Most of her content revolved around lip-sync videos where she spoke about topics that could relate to others.
Some of these also included trending content. Her content was also getting over 50k views with more people following her time and again.
Some people were quick to point out that Kara had spoken bout her driving skills just days before the tragic incident took place.
In it, she says: “when they try to call me a bad driver but I’ve never hit a person or an actual car.”

What we know about the accident
As reported, the accident took place on U.S. 29 near Quintette Road where Kara was driving a Nissan SUV northbound when she collided with an unidentified driver who was driving Chevy Sedan traveling southbound.
Northview High School, where Kara was a senior student, also released a statement regarding the incident.
“Today, with sad hearts, we welcome back our students after spring break. We are deeply sorry for the tragic loss of our senior Kara Santorelli. We hold tight to beautiful memories that she had left with us. Her beautiful smile and kind spirit will continue to be in the hearts of her friends and classmates. We also extend our condolences to her family, praying that they find comfort and strength in the midst of their grief,” they said.
The other driver also didn’t survive the crash.
Users mourn her loss
As soon as the news hit social media people were quick to flood the comment section with condolences.
One user wrote: “rest in peace sweet girl. I’m so sorry it happened to you.” Another added: “hold your loved ones tighter and longer because death is real and random, RIP Kara.”
“I can’t believe she is gone,” said one more. “rest in peace. You were a gorgeous gorgeous girl who was taken too soon,” wrote one more.
