16 AND PREGNANT star Whitney Purvis was denied bail and will likely remain behind bars for months until her trial in the involuntary manslaughter case against her.

After looking miserable in her latest mugshot, Whitney, 33, submitted a request for bond during her first appearance on Tuesday.

After it was denied by the judge, a date was set for July 17 for the district attorney to have a chance to argue why bond should not be granted at all.

Whitney was arrested at her Georgia home on Monday morning for manslaughter, just over a month after her son died suddenly at 16.

The MTV star was arrested by local sheriffs following an investigation conducted by local Rome Police, with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Agency’s High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas task force.

Her arrest was tied to a dangerous drug known as Trank.

According to the arrest warrant, “on February 16, 2025, between the hours of 10 and 11pm, Whitney Blake Purvis did commit the offense of aggravated involuntary manslaughter.”

The warrant further stated that the former MTV star “without intent to cause the death of another human being, intentionally distributed a substance presented as Trank, commonly known as Xylazine and fentanyl, to the victim, which directly contributed to the victim’s death due to a toxic overdose.”

According to the arrest documents, the victim was identified as John Mark Harris.

Trank, the drug involved in the case, has gained popularity in recent years and is notorious for its horrifying side effects, including rotting skin.

The incident reportedly took place at a home in Rome, Georgia, however, a 911 call was not made until the following day, February 17.

Whitney is facing three charges: aggravated involuntary manslaughter, distribution of a controlled substance, and use of a communication device to commit a felony.

The warrant identified her place of employment as DoorDash.

In a shocking twist, Whitney reportedly left a comment on her friend’s online obituary.

She wrote “John Mark, I hate that I found out what happened today and missed your funeral. I wish I could’ve found out sooner and attended your celebration of life.

“Thank you for being such a great friend to me and always making me feel beautiful and cared for.”

WHITNEY LOSES HER SON

On June 2, Whitney faced unimaginable heartbreak when her oldest son, Weston Gosa Jr., passed away at just 16 years old after battling a series of illnesses.

The former MTV star expressed her grief on social media, sharing her everlasting love for her son.

Weeks later, she took to Facebook, claiming she was barred from attending Weston’s funeral due to ongoing tensions with his father.

She alleged that Weston’s dad and his wife were deliberately trying to exclude her from his life.

In response, Weston’s stepmother, Amy Gosa, told The U.S. Sun that Whitney had not spoken to her son in six years.

Amy also accused Whitney of arriving hours late to Weston’s funeral despite repeated reminders of the start time.

She further claimed Whitney was granted the option of supervised visits with Weston, but never followed through on scheduling them.

The grieving stepmother expressed frustration over Whitney’s public allegations, saying, “It’s painful enough as it is. We lost a piece of our family, our daily life, and she just won’t stop. It’s hurtful.”

Whitney also shares son River with her ex Weston, and has another son by another man.

LEGAL TROUBLES

This is not the first time Whitney has faced legal issues.

The former 16 & Pregnant star was previously arrested for failing to pay child support.

In 2012, she was accused of shoplifting a pregnancy test from Walmart.

Later that same year, she faced allegations of smashing a computer during a dispute with her baby daddy.
