MADE IN Chelsea star Zara McDermott has admitted she had to ‘pinch herself’ when she met Kate Middleton.
The 26-year-old reality star, who has partnered with the Princess of Wales on her new campaign, Shaping Us, shared the moment she met the royal.
Speaking to The Sun, Zara said: “Oh of course it was a pinch me moment when I met Kate Middleton!

“We spoke a lot about the campaign and what my role is and the impact that I can hopefully have.
“It is not just about having children, it is looking across the spectrum at Shaping Us from being a very young person all the way through.”

She continued: “It was absolutely incredible meeting someone so passionate about the work that they do and I hope I continue working with her and keep the Shaping Us campaign going.
“Because it is long-term and not just a one-off. I think that is what the Princess is really passionate about – making sure that this is not just a quick conversation that dissolves quite quickly.”
Meanwhile Zara revealed that her reality TV background following her appearances on Love Island in 2018 and Made in Chelsea has not stopped her from tackling serious matters.
She said: “There is always a stigma around reality television but that stigma doesn’t have to define how you feel and view yourself and the work that you do.”
It comes as Zara has partnered with Mars Petcare and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home to raise awareness of the challenges tenants and landlords face when it comes to renting with pets.

The reality star, who lives in London with her Made in Chelsea star boyfriend Sam Thompson, said: “As a cat parent to Cedric and Albus, I know first-hand just how much joy pets can bring to life every day.
“The thought of loving pet owners having to choose between remaining in their home and keeping their pet is just awful, which is why I’m so pleased to be working with Mars Petcare and Battersea to help pet owners get clued up with The Petiquette Guide to Rentals and Pet Ownership.”
