X Factor legend Cher Lloyd has revealed she burst into tears after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
The pregnant pop star, 29, shared her health news on Instagram, admitting the diagnosis had scared her.

She wrote: “I got the call last week to tell me I had gestational diabetes. I burst into tears. I felt scared, confused and instantly blamed myself.
“I’ve spent most of my time researching gestational diabetes and trying to find recipes and ways to control it.
“I’m still getting used to the changes and how this might affect the rest of my pregnancy.
“I just wanted to reach out to any fellow gestational diabetes mamas out there sharing advise, stories and suggestions. Sending love.”
Gestational diabetes is a form of diabetes that develops during pregnancy and usually goes away once you give birth.

The NHS states that it can happen at any stage of pregnancy, but is more common in the second or third trimester.
It happens when your body cannot produce enough insulin – a hormone that helps control blood sugar levels – to meet your extra needs in pregnancy.
Gestational diabetes can cause problems for mother and baby during pregnancy and after birth, but the risks can be reduced if the condition is detected early and well managed.
The star’s fans reassured her it was quite common and wasn’t due to anything she had done.
One commented: “Don’t be upset. It’s very common and it’s nothing you have done wrong – it’s just how your body has reacted to pregnancy and should go back to normal afterwards. My baby was absolutely fine and average weight after they kept saying he would likely be born big.”
Cher’s post comes after she showed off her huge baby bump and revealed she’s in the third trimester.
She told her fans: “Officially at that stage of pregnancy where it’s a struggle to get up after sitting laying down.”
