THE police have confirmed that a woman has been interviewed under caution over the Ferne McCann voice note leak.
Last September Ferne, 32, hit headlines after a series of messages were leaked – in which she fat shamed ex pal Sam Faiers and mocked ex Arthur Collins’ acid attack victim Sophie Hall.

Ferne, who has recently spoken out about the scandal on her show First Time Mum, suffered huge backlash and met with Essex Police to get to the bottom of the leaks.
The Met have confirmed that they have interviewed a woman under caution, but their enquiries are ongoing.
A Met spokesperson has said: “In November 2022, police received a report of malicious communication and harassment.
“The report was initially dealt with by Essex Police but later transferred to the Met after it was established the offences were alleged to have occurred in Redbridge.

“In January 2023, a woman aged in her 30s, was interviewed under caution. Our enquiries are ongoing.”
During the first episode of the brand new series of First Time Mum, Ferne revealed that she thinks she knows who is behind the Instagram account.
Ferne said: “There’s only one person I know who would want to inflict this much pain and damage – they destroyed me.”
During Wednesday’s instalment of This Morning, Ferne broke in tears as she publicly apologised over the voice notes.
Last year an anonymous Instagram account shared one in which Ferne called Sam ‘a fat c***’ with ‘big thighs’, and another where she complained about Sam’s sister Billie giving her son the same name as her jailed ex Arthur.

The profile, named ladywhistledown195, also posted another of Ferne branding Arthur’ acid attack victim Sophie Hall “ugly”.
Ferne told Holly and Phill: “It definitely wasn’t my finest hour and it was a very difficult time in my life when they were leaked.
“I need to publicly apologise to those affected, the words I used were unpleasant.”
She continued: “I have reached out to those affected.
“It’s very difficult because I would love to sit here with you guys and my followers to share exactly what went on. But it’s now part of a criminal investigation so I can’t do that.
“But what I can say, these voice notes were from a time when I was in a very vulnerable situation and a very difficult situation for me five to six years ago.
“Since then, I have done a lot of work on myself, I have been in therapy for six years and I feel that I am a different person.
“Even though I can’t share my full truth and I know how frustrating that is for people listening, I know that one day I will get that chance to fully be able to hopefully sit with you guys on the sofa and be 100% transparent.
“I know that my story will be able to help a lot of women but until then I can’t say too much.”

Ferne revealed the voice notes were sent around five or six years ago, which is when she was pregnant with daughter Sunday who she shares with Arthur Collins – who is now serving 20 years in prison for a nightclub acid attack.
The star went on to say that her show First Time Mum was a ‘lifeline’ for her, saying she was very ‘grateful’ to have it.
