Find out what some royal experts are saying about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s careers and where they might be headed.

It’s been a roller coaster journey for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over the last five years as they have tried to carve out their own career paths since leaving the royal family.

The duke released his memoir Spare and produced some content for Netflix. Other than that, Harry’s main focus has been the Invictus Games he founded.

As for Meghan, she, too, has produced and starred in shows per the pair’s Netflix contract and after one podcast was canceled, she launched another one. She also released a product line for her lifestyle brand and a version of Shop My Closet online.

But some experts think where Meghan and Harry are headed now is straight into “no man’s land.” Read on to find out why.

Meghan has had too many ‘twists and turns’ in her career, and Prince Harry is at a ‘crossroads’

According to royal commentator Bronte Coy, the Sussexes have tried for so long to get a firm handle on things but there have been too many “twists and turns” and “a lot of redirection” after “deals collapsing.”

She told Express: “Meghan’s launching a new business that has had a few twists and turns and snafus, and there have been more reports than ever about the state of their relationship both professionally and personally.”

Coy also believes Harry is at a “crossroads” with his career and post-royal family identity.

She claimed: “I sort of get the impression that Harry would be really happy to just sort of be surfing and doing some charity duties every once in a while. But that’s clearly not Megan’s focus and that in itself is a relatively relatable issue.

“When couples reach those points where they’re branching off with different goals for their long-term future. Megan wants to be a billionaire celebrity. I think Harry appears to be happy to just do a few charity engagements and focus on those things that he likes.”

Meanwhile, another royal commentator believes the Duke of Sussex is already in “no man’s land” and has been for a while.

Angela Levin, who wrote spent time with the royal when she wrote the book Harry, A Biography of a Prince opined that he is “withdrawn” and is in “no man’s land” living more than 5,000 miles away from his old life.

The author made the comments after it was reported that Harry skipped his close pal Jack Mann’s wedding in 2023, and after many of the duke’s friends claimed that he’s not active in their WhatsApp group chat anymore. Harry and Mann met at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and used to play polo often. They also served in the British Army and on tours of Iraq and Afghanistan together.

“I just think that he’s withdrawn from them all,” Levin said (per Sky News). “I think he’s got too much in his mind about the court case and I think Meghan. I think he just feels he’s in no man’s land and he just doesn’t want to see people. And if he does see them, he’s full of moans and they don’t necessarily want to see him.”
