A celebrity feud involving some of the most famous women in Hollywood is about to get ugly. That’s according to a new report claiming that Rihanna is using her influence to blacklist Kendall Jenner and the entire Kardashian family from fashion’s biggest night.
It’s been reported that RiRi is making it her “mission” to ensure that the Kardashian-Jenner sisters don’t walk the carpet at the 2025 Met Gala.
Like Rihanna, the siblings’ arrivals each year are highly anticipated as people can’t wait to see what they’re wearing. But the Fenty Beauty founder is allegedly hoping not to see them and have the family banned from the event. Read on to find out why.
Reason Rihanna is dead set on getting Kendall Jenner and the Kardashians banned
The report comes from RadarOnline and says that Rihanna wants Kendall and the whole Kardashian clan banned over the model’s past relationships with Chris Brown and A$AP Rocky.
The “Diamonds” hitmaker was physically assaulted in 2009 by Brown, who Kendall was later rumored to be hooking up with. And the singer’s current boyfriend dated the model for a bit in 2016.
Insiders told the outlet: “Rihanna has never been a fan of the Kardashians. When Kim was married to Kanye West, she tried to cozy up to Rihanna and got totally shut down. And Rihanna did not appreciate Kendall’s friendship with Chris. Kendall chose a side, and it was the wrong one. At the time, Rihanna and Rocky were technically just friends, but that didn’t stop her from feeling territorial over him. It just solidified her dislike for Kendall.”
How A$AP Rocky can help Rihanna get her revenge on the Kardashian-Jenner sisters
Rihanna missed the Met Gala in 2024. She initially had planned on attending but came down with the flu just ahead of fashion’s biggest night. However, this year she’s determined to go and if the Radar’s report is true, she’s hoping her beau’s position can help her freeze out the Kar-Jenners.
A$AP Rocky is co-chairing the 2025 Met Gala committee along with Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Given that “her longtime boyfriend is on the planning committee for the fashion event of the year, Rihanna has major sway when it comes to the guest list,” the source claimed before adding, “Now she’s going to use the Met Gala to get a bit of petty revenge.”
The Met Gala will take place in New York City on May 5. This year’s theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which will explore and celebrate the style of Black men in the context of dandyism from the 18th century through the present day. Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo along with the honourary chair LeBron James, will co-host the event.
