Why Niecy Nash thinks Travis Kelce was ‘greedy’ on ‘Grotesquerie’ set

Niecy Nash-Betts has a bone to pick with Travis Kelce and his eating habits.

The Emmy-winnin actress, 54, told ETalk in an interview posted on TikTok Friday that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, was “greedy” when munching on food on set of their new FX series, “Grotesquerie.”

“[We would eat] anything and everything. Travis is greedy,” she joked. “I’m talking from burgers to pasta. Only one of us ever ate a salad and that was me.”

Their (apparently tasty) beef doesn’t go deep, though.

Nash-Betts recently raved about working with Kelce and called him a “dream.”

“He is so charming but comes to work prepared,” she told People earlier this week.

“He’s open to learn. And I think his fans are going to be pleasantly surprised.”

“Grotesquerie” follows a detective (Nash-Betts) and a nun (Micaela Diamond) who team up to solve a string of horrific murders.

It’s unclear how Kelce’s character is involved in the plot, but it is known that he appears in the series on a limited basis.

While Ryan Murphy’s drama series is the first serious acting gig for Kelce, it’s not his first overall.

He made his acting debut as host of “Saturday Night Live” in March 2023 and made a cameo appearance during the season 49 premiere along with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

Nash-Betts told ETalk she thinks Kelce “caught the bug” when it comes to acting, and he told reporters in February that he will “dabble into everything” to see if he has a fun time.

“I know there’s definitely Hollywood talks out there, but I’ve been focused on football throughout the season so I’ll probably have a lot of those meetings and conversations when it is all said and done,” he added at the time.

Kelce missed the New York City premiere of his show Monday night, but his mom, Donna Kelce, showed up to support the project and raved about her son’s ability to try so many new things.

“Oh, it’s so awesome,” she told Page Six about what it’s like seeing her son flex his acting chops.

“Just to be able to see your kids do what they absolutely love to do, and hopefully this is something he likes! I know he wanted to try [acting], so we’ll see how it goes.”
