IT’S beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
Which brings the ultimate festive question: which artist will secure the Christmas Number One?

1
Who will be Christmas number 1 2022?
LadBaby – 1/10
LadBaby is strongly tipped to score ANOTHER No. 1 single.
This time the dad influencer has teamed up with Martin Lewis for their festive tune Food Aid – which is a play on the 980s charity single Band Aid.
Sam Boswell of online bookies BetVictor, said: “The Christmas Number One is always a popular seasonal talking point and punters love a festive flutter.
“Our most likely candidate is LadBaby who are going for an impressive fifth number one at Christmas in a row and are the 1/10 favourites to land it.”

“Social media star Mark Hoyle (LadBaby) and his wife Roxanne (LadBaby Mum) announced their bid to top the charts along with MoneySavingExpert’s Martin Lewis who will also perform on the track. 100% of the profits will be donated to charity, with half of the money going to food bank charity the Trussell Trust and the other half to the Band Aid Trust.”
“Next in is UK YouTube group Sidemen at 8/1, the group which includes JME and KSI, recently released two Christmas-themed parody songs that are set to make an appearance on the UK’s Official Charts next week and in the race to make it number one for Christmas. The song with the most streams at the end of the month will be declared the winner.”
“The Pogues come in at 16/1 with Fairytale of New York. The 1987 track, which is performed by Kirsty MacColl and The Pogues frontman Shane McGowan is considered a Christmas classic. Another iconic Christmas classic is Mariah Carey at 20/1, with All I Want For Christmas Is You. She’s currently number one in the charts but can she hold onto it for another week?”

When will the Christmas number 1 2022 be announced?
Each year in the week leading up to Christmas Day, one song is crowned king of the festive charts.
The race for Christmas No. 1 begins today (December 16, 2022).
But the winner will be announced on Friday, December 23, 2022.
Who was Christmas number 1 last year?
LadBaby was No. 1 in 2021, in fact he has hit the top spot since 2018.
His first charity single – a parody cover of Starship’s 1985 single We Built This City – was We Built This City on Sausage Rolls.
Then in 2019, the sausage roll theme continued and the couple released a single entitled I Love Sausage Rolls, a parody cover of Alan Merrill’s I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll.
The song became the Christmas number one, beating the likes of Stormzy, Lewis Capaldi and Dua Lipa – and spent one week in the top 40.
In 2020, the couple once again announced their new Christmas single entitled Don’t Stop Me Eatin, a parody cover of Don’t Stop Believin by Journey – which beat the likes of Russ Abbot, Justin Bieber, The Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir and Liam Gallagher to the top spot.
In 2020, LadBaby released an additional duet version of Don’t Stop Me Eatin’, which featured Ronan Keating performing the song with LadBabyMum Roxanne Hoyle – and the single was a huge hit once again.
Then in 2021, LadBaby secured their fourth Christmas No1 in a row with their latest song Sausage Rolls For Everyone.

This fourth hit featured both Ed Sheeran and Elton John.
