MUSICIAN Karl Wallinger has died at the age of 66, leaving behind his Suzie Zamit and their two children.
The star was known for being a member of The Waterboys, as well as World Party.

Wallinger died on Sunday, according to reports; however no cause of death has been given.
He is survived by his sculptor wife Suzie , with whom he had two children, and two grandchildren.

Suzie studied Fine Art Sculpture at City & Guilds of London Art School.
The British artist and sculptor has been a member of the Society of Portrait Sculptors since 1997.
She exhibited at the British Library, Heathrow T5 and Art on the Edge with sculptures of gymnasts that toured during the London Olympic Games.
Suzie also designed a Charles Darwin coin for the Royal Mint in 2009 and Britannia bullion coin.
Her work is in private collections throughout Europe and is predominantly concerned with human and animal forms.
Karl lived with his wife at their home in Crouch End, north London.

Wallinger’s musical career began as he played with numerous bands while growing up in Wales.
He joined The Waterboys in 1983 as an instrumentalist on their first three albums.
The Welsh-born frontman then formed World Party in 1986, shortly after his departure from The Waterboys.
He contributed to late Irish star Sinead O’Connor’s debut album The Lion And The Cobra, and they continued to work together for several years.
Wallinger also served as the musical director for the 1994 Ben Stiller-directed film Reality Bites, starring Ethan Hawke and Winona Ryder.
He contributed to the Clueless soundtrack producing All The Young Dudes written by David Bowie a year later.
He was one of the many artists to take part in Peter Gabriel’s Big Blue Ball album, which was recorded in the 1990s and released in 2008.

Among those paying tribute was The Waterboys founder Mike Scott, who said on X: “Travel on well my old friend. You are one of the finest musicians I’ve ever known.”
