The Victoria’s Secret Angel has one son named York Banks Asla, that she welcomed with her then-boyfriend Erik Asla.

Although Tyra has shared that working and raising York between homes can be hard, she shared that her son makes it all worth it.

Tyra’s “little treasure”
Tyra welcomed her first child in January 2016, after a long, public struggle to conceive.
Although her attempts to have a baby through IVF were not successful, she finally had the baby that she’d been waiting for through surrogacy.
She told People magazine: “As I gaze into the beautiful eyes of my son, I think about all the people who struggle with fertility or carrying a child and continue to pray for them every day.
“My hopes and dreams are filled with well wishes that they get to feel what my little treasure, York Banks Asla, feels like in my arms.”
Tyra also revealed that York’s grandma moved in and helped raise him during the COVID Pandemic.
The supermodel joked though that her mum bought York too many groceries from the supermarket.
Groceries are often the topic of York’s raps, which Tyra occasionally shares on Instagram.
He sang “bacon and cheese and peppers on lettuce” in one cute video.

A famous dad
York’s dad Erik Asla is a Norwegian photographer who dated Tyra from 2013 to 2017.
The couple continued to stay friends after splitting and Erik even went on to fill the opening credits for America’s Next Top Model.
York learned Norwegian from his famous dad, which he speaks alongside English and Spanish.

A potential model
Tyra said that her supermodel genes have obviously passed on to her son.
In one adorable snap, York can be seen smizing at the camera.
In an interview, Tyra said: “I do not want him to model, Lord.
“But he had that thing.
“Look at him.
He’s like, ‘Hellooo. I am smizing.’ “
Tyra said that she wouldn’t want him to be a model but wants to give him the freedom to choose his own career.
