Who is S Club 7 star Jon Lee and where is he now?

CAST your mind back to the early noughties when S Club 7 were at the height of their fame.

One person who remembers this time all too well is singer Jon Lee.

Who is Jon Lee?

Born Jonathan Lee in Devon on April 26, 1982, Jon is an actor and singer.

The talented star is best known for being one seventh of noughties pop band S Club 7.

Before joining the group, he kicked off his career at the young age of 13, when he bagged the lead role in West End show Oliver! at the London Palladium Theatre.

Just before joining S Club 7, he switched from the stage to TV to play Josh Haye in EastEnders from 1997 to 1998

What is Jon Lee doing now?

After S Club 7 parted ways in 2003, Jon returned to his roots in musical theatre.

He headed back to the West End, and appeared in some big shows including Les Misérables, and Jersey Boys.

In 2012 Jon released his debut solo album, Fallen Angel.

However, as of January 2023 he is back with his S Club 7 bandmates – Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O’Meara, Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens and Tina Barrett – for a big 25th anniversary reunion tour.

Together the band said: “It feels amazing to announce that we’re reuniting and performing together again.

“We’re so excited to bring the S Club Party back to our fans across the country to celebrate 25 years of S Club 7.”

When was Jon Lee in S Club 7?

Jon was the youngest member of pop group S Club 7, when the band were formed back in 1999.

During the height of the pop group’s fame, they had four UK No.1 singles and a No.1 album.

They were famed for hits like Reach, S Club Party, Don’t Stop Movin’ and Bring It All Back, before splitting in 2003.

They also had their own BBC television series, Miami 7 and toured all over the world.

However, in April 2003, during a live onstage performance, S Club announced that they were splitting up, breaking fans hearts all over the globe.

Is Jon Lee married and does he have children?

In August 2010 Jon revealed in an interview with Gay Times magazine, that he was gay.

He added that he had come out to family and friends at a young age, and that “it’s never needed to be a huge change that I’ve had to tell everyone about”.

As of 2023 Jon’s relationship status is unknown.
