Get to know more about NBA player Lu Dort and the woman he’s in a relationship with.
After playing his college ball with the Arizona State Sun Devils, Luguentz “Lu” Dort joined the Oklahoma City Thunder as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He’s currently the longest-tenured player on the team and the veteran has been a key part of the team’s success. He also plays for the Canadian men’s national team and was on the roster for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Dort has a reputation around the NBA for playing stellar defense and is nicknamed “The Dorture Chamber.”
“I’m always on the best players, so I am trying to make the job tough for them,” Dort told ESPN. “But other than that, I’m a chill, cool guy.”

How long Dort and Savard have been together
Dort was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to Haitian parents. He was childhood friends with Indiana Pacers star Bennedict Mathurin who also grew up in Montreal and is Haitian-Canadian.
Dort’s girlfriend hails from Montreal too and as noted in her Instagram bio, she is Haitian and Canadian as well. Some of her social media replies are in French and so is her LinkedIn page.
It’s believed that Dort and Savard started dating sometime in 2021 when she first posted about attending Thunder games on her Instagram Stories. But Savard didn’t appear on Dort’s social media until 2023 when the athlete posted photos on Facebook of her and some of his family members getting together around Christmas.
Savard is a health, wellness, and fitness influencer
In 2020, Savard made news in her hometown when she spoke out against street harassment. She was one of several women who lent their voices to a project by the Multicultural Youth Café organization, aimed at addressing the issue of street harassment in Montreal North.
Savard is passionate about health and fitness as some of her Instagram Stories have reflected. She has shared tidbits about healthy meals, supplements, and even her workouts. She uploaded a TikTok video about healing chronic urticaria naturally too. She also worked as a personal trainer at Éconofitness in Montreal in the early 2020s.
In addition, Savard once worked in TV as part of the production team and posted a guest badge for a French language television network in Canada, with the caption “Tournage,” which means filming. However, it’s not clear what role she had in the set production.
How many children Dort and Savard have
When it comes to how many kids they have, Dort and Savard shared on Feb. 14, 2025 via social media that they were expecting their first child together.
They made the Valentine’s Day announcement on Instagram with three photos of Savard showing off her belly while Dort is embracing her and captioned it with a blue heart emoji.
After they shared the happy news players across the NBA including Mathurin, sent them congratulatory messages.
