FANS can’t get enough of BBC wildlife shows like Autumnwatch and Winterwatch.
One crucial members of the team – and also the youngest – is conservationist Megan McCubbin.

Who is Chris Packham’s stepdaughter Megan McCubbin?
Megan McCubbin is a TV and wildlife expert, best known for her work with the BBC.
The passionate star is also a zoologist and conservationist.
Megan 0- who has a degree in zoology – is also a keen wildlife photographer.
Her bio on her website reads: “Megan is a passionate scientist with a particular interest in behaviour, evolution and the illegal wildlife trade.

“Her interest stems from a childhood growing up in and around the Isle of Wight Zoo, which specialises in the rescue and rehabilitation of ex-circus and pet trade animals.”
Megan shot to fame in 2017 when she presented Undercover Tourist: Inside the Illegal Bear Bile Market for BBC Three, and has since forged her career in TV.
The talented star made her debut on Springwatch in 2020, and then joined Autumnwatch that same year.
After wowing viewers, she is now a member of the Winterwatch team too.

Zoologist Megan is the daughter of one of Chris Packham previous partners, Jo.

She first met the TV star when she was just 18 months old.
Although her mum and Chris separated when she was 12, Megan has continued to enjoy a close relationship with her stepdad, often travelling with him on his wildlife trips around the globe.
The duo also broadcast wildlife videos together on YouTube.
In 2020, Chris told the BBC: “We’ve had over 5.5 million views over the last month for something that we are making with two mobile phones and some help from our colleague Fabian on a laptop in Norwich. It’s fantastic.”
What has Megan McCubbin said about I’m A Celebrity?
In September 2023, Megan McCubbin slammed I’m A Celebrity for continuing to use live animals as part of the show.
She’s called on the reality show – presented by Ant and Dec – to stop using animals, insects and bugs in its trials.
Speaking about the show’s animal welfare, Megan told The Sun: “They’re not strict enough in my opinion.
“Animals are there to be marvelled at to appreciate and respect but to have them in this capacity in entertainment and a lot of the language used in these trials is quite negative.
“I’m not a fan of the show, I don’t watch it and I won’t until they drastically change things.
“You can do great trials, you can do adventures things and crazy daredevil experiences without involving animals, especially in a negative way.
“I hope we’ve gone past that point but we’re still working on it, aren’t we.”
However, ITV have hit back, insisting they have a “very strict environmental plan” and consult the RSCPA about all their trials – read their full statement here.
