Who is Matt Morgan?

RADIO DJ and presenter Matt Morgan is known for working with BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and Radio X.

The British comedy writer is also well recognised for his collaborations with Russell Brand on The Russell Brand Show, and Noel Gallagher.

Who is Matt Morgan? 

Matt Morgan, 46, shot to fame in 2006 when he began working with Brand on the comedian’s radio show.

It was initially broadcast on BBC Radio 6 Music, before being picked up on BBC Radio 2, TalkSport, XFM and Radio X.

He has also appeared on several episodes of Brand’s YouTube series, The Trews.

A long-term friend of the comedian, Matt was the creative director for Russell Brand’s Ponderland in 2007.

He also has writing credits for the TV comedy debate show, Russell Brand’s Got Issues, that was formerly on E4.

The writer was involved in a number of well known TV shows including The Kevin Bishop Show, James Corden’s World Cup Live, Plebs, Borked TV, Murder in Successville and more recently Mister Winner.

He and his wife Katie are understood to have two children called Coen and Winter.

Not much else is known about his private life.

What radio shows has Matt Morgan worked on? 

As well as The Russell Brand Show, Matt has featured on The Russell Brand Podcast in 2015.

The radio presenter has also hosted a one-off show on Absolute Radio, with Noel Gallagher.

The pair have also presented on another one-time show on XFM to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.

After leaving The Russell Brand Show while it was on Radio X in 2017, Matt co-hosted with Gallagher once again on The Radio X Residency, which was a Sunday show from 7pm to 9pm on Radio X.

In 2020, Matt Morgan started his podcast, Matt Morgan’s Funny How?

It features celebrity guests, which have included Joe Lycett and Gallagher, and the host chats to them about life.

The podcast releases weekly episodes and was moved to Patreon as subscription only.

It was also renamed The Matt Morgan Podcast.
