Denise Welch was born on May 22, 1958 in Tynemouth near Newcastle, and is an actress and TV star.
Her acting career began on stage and she later landed the role of Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street from 1997 to 2000.
She’s also starred in Spender (1991 to 1993), Soldier, Soldier (1993 to 1995) and Down To Earth (2004to 2005).
In Waterloo Road she played Steph Haydock from 2006-2010.
