The actor and singer started out in West End musicals but soon made it big in Hollywood.

Who is Luke Evans?
Luke Evans is a Welsh stage and film actor from Pontypool, Wales.
He is best known for playing Gaston in Disney’s live-action adaptation of Beauty And The Beast.
Born on April 15, 1979, he was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness but left the religion at the age of 16.
By 17 he had moved from Aberbargoed, a small village in the Rhymney Valley in Wales, to Cardiff, where he was trained by Louise Ryan, who has coached Charlotte Church and Lucie Jones.
In 1997, he received a scholarship to London Studio Centre and graduated from the institution in 2000.
His acting career began on stage, starring in West End productions such as Rent, Miss Saigon and Piaf.
However, his first major role came in 2010, with the remake of Clash Of The Titans, where he played the role of Apollo.
A year later he appeared in the action-thriller films Immortals, The Raven and The Three Musketeers.
On November 22, 2019, the Broadway star released his debut studio album, titled At Last.
The album peaked at No11 in the UK.
His second album A Song For You, released in November 2022, reached a high of No4.
The actor is showing off his singing skills on the BBC in Luke Evans Showtime airing in December 2022.
What films and TV shows has Luke Evans been in?
As well as his role in Beauty And The Beast, Evans has had starring roles in several blockbusters including playing Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy.
In 2010, he not only starred in Clash Of The Titans, but also had roles in the Ian Dury biopic Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, Robin Hood, and Tamara Drewe.

He was cast as the lead role in the film Dracula Untold in 2014, starring opposite Dominic Cooper, Sarah Gadon and Charles Dance.
In 2013 he joined the cast of Fast & Furious for the sixth outing in the franchise.
He returned in 2015 and 2017 for Fast & Furious 7 and 8 playing Owen Shaw.
In 2017, he played American psychologist William Moulton Marston in the drama Professor Marston And The Wonder Women.
His other film credits include The Girl On The Train, Ma, Anna, Angel of Mine and Message From The King, among others.
In 2021 he swapped the big screen for the small one and took the leading role in ITV drama The Pembrokeshire Murders.
He also appeared in the miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers.
Evans played The Coachman in the live-action film adaptation of Disney’s Pinocchio, with Tom Hanks.
He’s also starring in Apple TV’s thriller Echo 3.
Is Luke Evans dating anyone?
Evans is in a relationship with Spanish graphic designer Fran Tomas.
The two met in 2021 while Luke was working in Australia but they have kept their romance quiet.
A pal close to Luke told The Sun: ‘The couple have been going from strength to strength and quietly travelling all over the world together.
“They are like minded, really get each other’s sense of humour and compliment each other well.”
The Welsh-born star was previously in a relationship with Rafael Olarra.
