Kathleen May Griffin, known as Kathy Griffin, is a famous stand-up comedian born on November 4, 1960.
The Illinois-born actress and comic was trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Shortly after, she joined the improv comedy troupe, The Groundlings, before embarking on more solo ventures in the 1990s.
Kathy’s big break came in 1996 when she landed a supporting role in the NBC sitcom, Suddenly Susan, where she achieved rave reviews.
