COMEDIAN Humza Arshad has made a big name for himself thanks to his YouTube series Diary of a Badman.

Who is Humza Arshad?
Arshad was born and brought up in Streatham, London.
He studied performing arts at Croydon college and gained a BTEC national diploma in performing arts at Kingston College.
He then graduated from Richmond Drama School with a degree in Drama.
Before making it big in the YouTube scene he had a part-time job as an Asian wedding hall waiter.
In September 2010, Arshad created the comedy web series Diary of a Bad Man.
A year later, the fifth episode of the series became the seventh most-viewed video on YouTube in the UK.
Arshad is the first British YouTuber to have his own scripted comedy series on BBC Three in the mockumentary series Coconut.
Why did Humza Arshad get an MBE?
Arshad was appointed an MBE in the 2021 New Year Honours for services to education.

The YouTuber described the award as the biggest surprise of his life.
He said: “It’s crazy… it means I’m a national treasure now. I’m going to meet the Queen soon… all I can say is thank you… out of nowhere God gives you something that you are eternally grateful for.
“This is going to go down in history. This is probably the biggest achievement of my life and I am so happy.”
Arshad had been involved in counter-extremism work in schools organised by the Met police and East Midlands Police.
Its aim was to help “prevent the radicalisation of British Muslims.”
He made a 15-minute film “Think for Yourself” to explain to teenagers the dangers of exposure to extremist messages.
What is Diary of a Badman?
Diary of a Bad Man is a British comedy-drama web series that ran from September 2010 to October 2013.
The series revolved around video diaries of a young man with the “mentality of a seven-year-old”.
The series was so successful that Arshad toured eight UK cities from November to December 2011, with his comedy show called The Badman Comedy Tour 2011.
Is Humza Arshad married?
It is not known if Arshad is married as he tends to keep his personal life private.
